Getting notifications to pay for an account I never ever opened!

I while back I asked for a quote on getting a credit card through Standard Bank. I decided not to accept the offer. After that I was informed that a credit card had been opened in my name, without my permission. After many inquiries, and visits to your branches, I was told that this card would be cancelled and that I therefore wouldn't have any amounts in arrears.

I have now received two notifications to say that I own money on that account. Two service requests have been opened, and closed without any feedback. I've lost count of the number of email back and forwards between myself and now 4 different divisions of Standard Bank. No one can, or is willing to actually help me. My simple questions and requests go unanswered and unresolved! This have been going on for over a month! It has even apparently been escalated with ZERO feedback!!

I never signed for an account to be opened in my name (issue #1). I'm getting notifications to say I owe money on said account (issue #2). Employees who, I assume, are hired to help resolve issues keep passing the buck and nothing is getting resolved (issue #3).

I've had to explain my situation numerous times to numerous different people. I keep getting sent to different departments/divisions! I am beyond frustrated! The service and attitude that I have received is not acceptable!!
