Frustrated with inability to purchase online

Sadly Standard Bank's service is becoming worse with each passing day. We pay extremely high fees for nothing. They fool you with saying that you have a personal banker, a banker that you cannot get hold of or you do not hear from unless they want to sell you a product. The personal bankers have so many clients that they cannot keep track and the same can be said for the "Prestige" line. Its all a money-making thing. I am extremely frustrated and don't know what to do anymore. We have been trying to make online purchases for a few weeks now. This Coronavirus pandemic has caused people to panic buy numerous items, thus leaving shop shelves empty, resulting in no essential items for people like us. My family (my wife and 9 month old baby) and I live in a small seaside town and access to unlimited shops is impossible - the only way to get certain essentials now is via online shopping (when it is available as websites also run out of stock and it takes time to be replenished) and with the country imposing social distancing laws, the safest way to shop would naturally be via online shopping. There is a software issue regarding the 3D secure website not receiving any data regarding our purchases with our credit card and debit cards and we keep getting an error message and this all means that we aren't even able to get onto the 3D secure webpage meaning our cards are useless to us (for almost a month now). Unfortunately this issue has still not been resolved and we have been trying to follow up on a regular basis, only to be told that the query has been sent to the I.T department to be resolved or it has been red-flagged etc. It has been more than a week now that we have reported the issue (because we need it functioning now more then ever and we were previously told it was the shopping websites issue and not Standard Bank). We tried to contact Standard Bank again tonight, only to be told that the I.T department has still not provided feedback so nothing can be done - we were put through to authorizations to see if they can pick up what is wrong with the cards (because they say nothing seems to be wrong with the cards on their system), but while speaking to the agent, the the call got cut and the person (having all my details in front of him) did not even bother calling back. This is the worst time for this to be happening and it is really disappointing and we are extremely upset. This is the time that we need service providers more than ever and this is how Standard bank has let us down as clients. Now with the National lockdown to commence in a matter of days, will Standard Bank take responsibility for my family not having enough food or if we contract the virus while going into numerous shops trying to find essentials that are needed as most shops are out of stock? Our bank cards are essentially useless online and to make matters worse we have also missed out on really good savings and delivery dates because of this (delivery will now only take place in mid April). We will definitely be thinking of switching banks the first chance we get. My husband works in the Healthcare environment, thus it makes it difficult for him to get to stores in the first place. Please escalate this issue and resolve ASAP.
