Freezing accounts without any warning

I am totally appalled with Standard bank.

I have through out the week struggled to withdraw money from any atm because I have \no accounts\" connected to the card? This only posed a partial issue as I could still do an eft.

However this evening that function ceased, as did my ability to do any online transactions. When I logged onto the web site all of my accounts had no names and zero balances, upon calling the call centre I was politely asked if I was a South African citizen (in spite of the bank having my ID details) and told that THEY had FROZEN my accounts without informing me...the reason....Mr Moloi was not too sure but he though it might have to do with my residential address?!

I have no way to access my bank accounts or any money and with tomorrow being sunday and there being very few banks open on a Sunday the issue seems to have become my own problem.

What a waste of half an hour of my life.... in short.

Brenton Fantozi (supervisor) and Reuben Moloi cannot assist me AT all to sort out my account, and actually had the audacity to blame me for the fact that I did not know FICA laws and that was my fault, not that they did not contact me before they froze the account."
