********** Debit orders Standard Bank is not protecting customers from.

Hi,

I am not feeling safe with this bank anymore, My account is being debited continuosly by people I don't know and my bank says that all they can do for me is reverse the money into my account provided that it was debited in the past 40 days. I have picked up that this has been going on since April, it could be for longer I just did not check further than April on my statement.

IBU VH - Ref: IBU ********** 70625 debiting R124,50 on the 25th of every month and Securelifesecu 5809 debiting R99,99

Above is the information I have about these **********, when I ask for more infor the bank tells I will be charged for it.

I want all my money back and I expect that my bank will prevent this from happening going forward, I have heard enough with this bank really.

If someone attends to this, please ensure that you contact me to assist me with a way forward and my refund for all the past months.

Regards,

Happy Tsoho

I am not satisfied with their response to my query because there is no way that I can prevent this from happening and if they feel that they cant control who debits our accounts then maybe they should have an option for their clients to authorise all debit orders. We give a go ahead to the people that we have authorised to debit us and give them our banking details but with this issue we are having as a nation I do feel that it is imperative that the bank also has their way to validate that I have given consent as a client.

I had the exact same problem that Kevin Kok dealt with in 2013, I find it really amazing that 4 years later the bank has not bothered to do anything about this issue WOW!!!!!
