In July/Aug of 2014 I went to Standard Bank after a client told me that Standard Bank is launching a program that they registered small companies. I went to the Cresta Branch and met with Joniel Steyn. He told me that Standard Bank will register my company and also open my business account. My account was opened and on the 18th of Aug I saw Joniel Steyn and he gave me a letter, on Standard Bank Letter head with stamp on it stating that my company are registered and gave me my company registration number. I kept asking him original because needed the original papers to register for Vat number to tender for big contracts. I had allot of meeting requests from him on mail that he cancelled on last moment. I started doing business on that registration. I kept asking for 10 months and then 20 May 2015 I had a meeting with Joniel set up for getting the papers and got a call from the are manager of standard bank saying TBK was never registered and registration I found out belong to another company. I had to close my company doors the same day. I lost everything in a day. Standard bank until today did not bother calling me to help resolving it. Just told me register your own company
