********** activity on my account
On 29 June 2015 cash was **********ly withdrawn from my bank account via Int Hong Leongint. 6 Transactions EXCEEDING MY DAILY LIMIT was made and allowed by Standard Bank. I discovered ********** activity when I tried to make a purchase and was advised that I have insufficient funds. I contacted STD bank ***** unit to stop my card. The next day I went to the bank to collect a new card and was told that it would only be ready in 3-5 working days. I tried contacting the ***** unit to find out what the progress is as my account is still frozen and was told that they are still busy with the investigation, I will only be able to follow up on 8/7/15. I have had no correspondence from the bank explaining how my limit was exceeded or what they will be doing to rectify the situation. I am out of pocket and feel that the bank should have the necessary measures in place to protect the money that you trust entrust to them for safekeeping. What exactly is the purpose of a daily limit if it is allowed to be exceeded without question? The police states that it is clear that ***** took place on my account - why is the bank finding it so difficult?
