*****
I got a message from standard bank on the 20th of October 2020 that says there were transaction that was going from my credit card and I should reply with Yes if it's me or No if I don't know about the transactions which I rep**** with a No since I didn't make those transactions and the card was in my position . I got a call immediately and I was told that the transactions were declined as they suspected ***** and my credit card was blocked and the new card was app**** so I will have to collect to the nearest branch in few days. I was told the transactions were for R900 to R1000 . I collected the card around the 28th October 2020 and somewhere during November I noticed via the app that the balance in the credit card is not what I know and it was also over the limit that I know , I called standard bank to notify them with the changes and I was told that the transactions were done online on the 24th and 25 of October for the balance of over R3000 and the ***** case will be opened for investigations and I'll get feed back within 2 to 3 working days. After a week I called again to follow up my case since I didn't receive any feedback and I was told that my case was declined as the transactions were done using the one time pin and those transactions went through on the 20th of October before the card was blocked. (different story) My question is if the ***** was done with one time pin is not regarded as ***** ? Ans as I was told that all the transactions were declined and the card was blocked and some other transactions went through after who is responsible for that , me or standard bank ? And if the person that is doing all this can create a one time pin to perform this ***** with standard bank credit card is that my responsibility ?
