Four months waiting for my bond to get cancelled and no luck

On the 10th of October last year I requested Standard Bank to close up my homeloan account which was fully paid up. Shortly thereafter they informed me that they have instructed Milton Matsemela attorneys to handle the bond cancellation. Milton Matsemela have from the outset proven to be sloppy attorneys with absolutely NO inclination of how to handle their clients. I called them (they didn't call me) to enquire about the process, only to be told there's a queue I must wait a few weeks. On THE 25th of November ( a month and a half later) Mandi Mackay at Milton Matsemela told me that I need to pay the bond cancellation costs as well as send through some documentation, which I promptly did. She said to me we should have your bond cancelled by Christmas. I received an email from Mandi in December stating that Standard bank had lost the title deed and that a new law is in place, that an advert needs to be placed in trying to locate the title deed, which will only happen in the new year. January came, I heard nothing from these attorneys so I emailed them once again. Mandi's response: "As mentioned in our e-mail dated 8 December 2019, as from the 1 January 2020, the Deeds Office imposed a new Regulation to replace lost/missing Deeds and we are waiting for the Bank to advise us how much they are prepared to pay for the replacement of the Deeds. The adverti*****t alone costs between R1,200.00 – R2,000.00. The Bank’s contribution towards costs is much less than that. We will revert to you as soon as circumstances permit." So if the bank lost the deed, they must pay the cost to get a new one! How is all this becoming my problem? I have last heard from these attorneys a month ago. I sent in my request to cancel 4 months ago. I am being asked to wait indefinitely. If I do not email these attorneys, I do not hear from them. I have access funds in my bond, which I now need, they cannot expect me to wait endlessly. Standard bank, get your act together, and please appoint attorneys who know what they doing and actually get back to your clients!!!! Four months with absolutely no way forward and an attitude of "we will get back to you when circumstances permit" is really disgusting and sloppy, with absolutely no regard of the client.
