Forcing me to keep an account open

Recently I visited Standard Bank to close all my accounts. I have a 7 day call account which I wanted to close. Because it is a 7 day call account I needed to give 7 day notice on R13 in this account before I could close it. I was advised there is a way to fast track this notice period by paying a R50 Charge to have this transferred out the account so I could close it. I deposited R50 into this AccesSave account and they were able to extract the R13 charging me R50 to do this.

Once the account balance was reduced to 0 they attempted to close this account again. This failed as there was now interest of R2.84 due to me that needs to be capitalized on the 1st of February 2018. I then need to give 7 days notice on this R2.84 or again pay R50 to fast track this.

Basically Standard Bank are forcing me to keep an account open against my will, which I am pretty sure is *******. They have also charged me R50 for no reason as the account could not be closed after I reduced the balance of this account to 0. I feel ****** of R50 and wondering if I will ever be able to close this account due to pending interest that needs to be capitalized at the end of each month.

I visited Standard Bank to check if this matter was resolved. It has NOT been resolved and the account remains open against my will.
