Forced debit order
Standard Bank has actioned what is called a forced debit order payment against my access account have with them. When i called them they told me this was because I owe a vehicle account with them and because i have not made payment arrangements they can issue this forced debit order.
But here's the thing. I lost my job with in 2016 and have communicated this with standard bank and could pay my debts including standard bank. my phone which was provided by my previous employer was also blocked. Standard bank secure judgement against me in 2017
I somehow managed to get employed again this month and my first pay was wiped by standard bank. My bank took 13K plus of my pay because they can.
This is at least unreasonable maybe unfair and also think also *******. I'm trying to get back on my feet with my first salary hence i printed my credit report to try and figure out who I owe and structure a repayment ect before all that money was gone. This before I could even payback those who assisted me to go to work and food throughout the month. Furthermore all my expenses going forward are halted by this. I owe far more than R13K to Standard Bank.
Can standard bank reverse this money and we come to a reasonable and manageable arrangement about this?
