False Debt Orders & Charges

Hi,

Last week I received a 'Final Notice' letter from Standard Bank, saying that my account has been handed over due to an amout of R500 odd that was outstanding on my cheque account. I got calls from their call center as well, but I closed this account last year June/July 2015 as I haved moved over to bank with FNB. The day I closed mjy account with Standard Bank, the 2 consultants advised it was closed. Last Friday, I went to SB in Wynberg CPT branch, and the queries told me there are no notes that my acc was een closed. I went to the consultants upstairs, and there a consultant told me they dont remember me coming in to close the account, but only an old savings acc was closed- how ridiculous! She then informed me that if I did close the acc wwith them, that before I did, I have 2 debt orders that was still trying to go off the account, which then reactivated the closed account- 1 a Ucounts reward and the other a funeral policy- which I never ever agreed to! She then helped me cancel these 2 policies, but told me that I HAVE TO PAY a balance of R600 odd! Which differes from the queries lady downstairs that told me there is a R500 odd amount outstanding, and if I dont, my credit record will be affected badly and I will never be able to get a home loan etc! I am not liable for these charges, and I will not pay anything that I am not liable for. I could not find the confirmation to say that I did close the account- yes, that is my own fault I admite, I should have kept that proof for years, but I did not know that I would be *****ed over like this.

Please help me get this sorted at the soonest of time, as I am worried that they are going to mess with my credit record over money I do not owe them.

Looking forward to hearing from somebody with advice and help.
