False advertising from Standard Bank!

Standard Bank has been lying to its customers about the payment holiday for loans. I have a personal loan with Standard Bank since. December 2019. I have paid it faithfully for the last 3 months but now that there is lockdown my husband, who has a small cash only vehicle repair business that he runs from our home, is not able to generate an income. I had to take on all the different expenses we have now and have had to cut back on our lifestyle drastically(no dstv, no cellphone contracts etc)

I know I don't qualify for credit insurance claim becaue I still get my full salary.

I app**** for a payment holiday for 3 months via email 10 days ago and only got a response last night at 9pm. The email simply said I don't qualify. When I enquired why not the answer was the system doesn't allow you a payment holiday. No alternatives! no I am so sorry!

At the moment that money is our food money and we don't have any other alternatives re lending from friends etc.

I am so angry that Standard Bank is lying to the public about payment holidays for your loans. What they have done is false advertising and need to rectify it asap.

These are extra ordinary times and it cannot be expected that the rules that app**** in January 2020 still are being app**** in April 2020 in a totally different world.
