False adverti*****t of interest rates

<p>I have been a client of Standard Bank Private Banking for a long time now but after today I feel my time at Standard Bank has come to an end. What an absolutely useless bank with such poor service. I opened up an investment savings account earlier this year to save and invest. However Standard Bank keep changing my interest rates. The more I save and invest the lower you drop my rates? How does that make sense. The rates you advertise so proudly and the actual rates you give are different by more than 1%. For starters that is false advertising. Also how does it make sense to drop my rates from 5.75% to 4.7% AFTER I just made a deposit into my savings account? You are *****ing from me Standard Bank! I will no longer invest my money in your bank if this is how you go about doing business with your clients. Absolutely appauling!!! Also I am pretty sure the ombudsman for banking might be interested in hearing about this story. Offering clients a interest rate that is falsely advertised and then dropping it as soon as they invest money. Also especially after the second time you have done this to me in 1 month. Standard Bank you suck!!</p>
