Failure to provide the right protocol for opening a ***** case

Good day

I came across a standard bank client Simphiwe Mthethwa on the 23rd of March 2017, I happened to be searching the inter webs for a car as I was looking to upgrade due to my car giving me problems, I came across Simphiwe Mthethwa's advert on Olx and immediately called him we then agreed to meet in midrand by the boulders shopping centre, go my surprise he said he was meant to go to work at the time I got there which was at 10:45am he then left me with his elderly son Mthokozisi Mthethwa to conclude the deal with. He told me the reason behind him selling his car was because he wants to settle the quantum which he apparently owes at that time, I went into the midrand standard bank branch and went ahead with the deposit. The boy disappeared and kept feeding me a story that he's at the midrand police station waiting for me so I then saw at that point that this is a **** so I went off back to the branch and rushed to the teller side to report this incident, the lady at the Midrand branch told me there's nothing that they can do because it seems like the guy has already taken out all my money and told me that the only way foward is for me to go to the police station to go open a case there. I then went to the police station to go open a case and till to date I have heard nothing from the SAPS in midrand nor received a case number.

On the 27th of March 2017 one of my colleagues advised me to call the ***** line and said I should've done this immediately and that the bank teller at the Midrand branch was meant to advise me to that instead of going to the police first.

So I proceeded to go ahead and call the ***** line and I was helped by a gentleman called Jason, he then punched in my ID number and noticed that the case was not opened from the branch .

The guys account number is: ********** 5541 Simphiwe Mthethwa, I deposited an amount of R13 800.00.
