Failing to protect their customers

On the 25th of February 2026 my mom was sent a **** FICA link stating that her account will freeze in 2 hours and her thinking it was standard bank ,entered the link and entered her banking details and shortly after she realised it was a **** and went to the bank and reported everything to avoid her money getting ****** ,the person assisting her gave her a new card and insured her that everything had been taken care of and the ****mers won’t be able to ***** her money since the issue was fixed by the bank.The next morning at 3am all of the money in her card was gone ,she only noticed at around 10am while she was at work trying to send me some money ,and she went straight to the police and bank to report that all her money was ****** and the case was sent to the ***** department and they informed her that she would get an update on the 9th of March ,and they told her that she would get an update again in 45 days. This is extremely unfair ,this happened at Mooi River branch and this is almost all the banks fault because they failed to protect her money and now they’re putting our life at pause making us wait so long for the money to get back.Please 45 days is way too long ,I’m starting to think this was an inside job…we don’t want to create problems please just return our money…its almost like the bank doesn’t care.
