Failed International Payments

Money was transferred to an international bank on the 26 June 2017 with the commission and fees paid locally, as a means to ensure that the full amount was transferred to the international bank. To date 31/10/2017, the international bank received 2 % of the funds with no definitive answer as to what happened to the rest of the money. Numerous emails and phone calls were made to identify the reason and purpose as to why the incorrect funds were transferred even though commissions and fees were paid locally. A request was made to have the international transaction cancelled as the amount received by the international Bank defeated the purpose of the transfer. - There was NO mention of any additional fees / commission from standard bank. - The international Bank guaranteed no additional fees are levied on the transfer. - The initial commission and fees was paid locally to ensure that the correct amount of funds were transferred. - It is absolutely unacceptable to pay an additional 98 % fee / commission on the total amount over and above the initial commission and fees levied from Standard bank. - No one is able to identify the fees that should be paid to make an international payment.
