Explanation please
My RCP account was increased and approved, for an additional R10 400.00. The funds were transferred and I noted that only R 8 800.00, was paid to my RCP account, which later was transferred to my Cheque Account.
I queried the discrepancy between the approved amount and the paid over amount and was told by the digital platform consultant, that only R 8 800.00 was available to me, after Standard bank states, they deducted Credit life and interest from my account. How is this possible? What interest, when I only just go the increase? Also, what Credit life deduction, when I already had Credit Life in place, on my existing account. Should this not be deducted monthly and why is there no record showing the deposit of R10 400.00, on my RCP account. Only a deposit of R8 800.00 is noted. There is no record reflecting these additional deductions or the originally amount of R10 400.00 being paid into my account.
I have been trying to get an explanation on this matter but have been unsuccessful and the feedback received, makes no sense to me.
Further to this, I have been paying my RCP account diligently, prior to this increase and the amount, just never decreased.
Common Standard Bank, please be transparent, when dealing with your clients. Life is tough enough during these difficult times!!
