Exobitant "Honouring Fees"

I have a prestige account with standard bank, opened about a year ago. My old account is with fnb and the only reason I opened the account with standard bank is because I was told I can't get a loan with them if I don't have a transactional account with them. Well guess what, I will close that transactional account and use my FNB account.

My account is currently overdrawn by over R600, Standard bank debits their monthly fee of R209, then charges me R61 for an overdrawn account (because I do not have overdraft). After that all debit card purchases that were processed before the account was overdrawn with the bank charges attracts a fee. The fee is same amount as the debit transaction amount. The amount is for honouring the transaction. How does standard bank honour a transaction that was already paid for before the account was overdrawn.

To month, I have over R600 in bank charges for an account that has a fixed amount of R209.

I need clarity please, I'd understand if my account was overdrawn because of debit orders, but I was already charged R61 for an overdrawn account, what's with all the other fees??
