Error at bank causing bad credit score
I've written a review about my initial ordeal on hellopeter, on the 14th of August regarding my credit card account (an IStoreCard), that was confirmed closed end January, only for the bank to still charge fees to this account, without sending me any communication on this.
The initial response was that the credit bureau was informed, and that this was a banking error at Standard Bank, and that the error will be correct within 48 hours. It's now more than a week later, and according to the credit bureau although the blacklisting appears to be removed, I have an account not paid for three months, giving me a poor credit score.
In all honesty, this is really becoming frustrating and ridiculous. I was made aware that this was a banking error and will be correct, only to find out now, that it's just been changed to something else. In follow ups, I've received NO communication from Standard Bank again. If this is not resolved within the week, I will give this over to the credit ombudsman to sort out, as I see this in serious bad light, and something that is showing negative on my records, though it should not.
Sort this out please, Standard Bank, this is really ridiculous!
