Empty Promises

I app**** for the Covid-19 payment relief at the beginning of June and received email confirmation that my application was successful and my payments was on hold for 3 months. On 30 June my payment went off as normal and I phoned Std Bank on 1 July asking why? I was told that the arrangement wasn't loaded onto the system and that I needed to forward the email I received to Rhandzu, which I did. Two weeks and several emails later, no response received so I phoned again. This time I spoke to Bernice and had to email the approval letter to her and she did another payment relief application to get everything loaded onto the system. I was once again promised that the error would be fixed and that I would be refunded. I also received another confirmation of the payment holiday. Fast forward to 30 July...what do you know, another payment went off. I phoned and spoke to Boitumelo, I had to send the emails again, was promised that both payments would be refunded within 2 business days and that the August payment would be on hold. So now the 2 business days has passed and yet AGAIN....NO REFUND. Why make promises when you have no intentions of helping? I wonder what would have happened if I had to make manual payments? My car would probable have been repossessed already.

Dear Standard Bank,

It's now been 2 days since you sent your message assuring me that this issue would be "addressed as a matter of urgency". What do you classify as urgent because it sure as hell isn't this matter, or was that just an automated messages U use to make it look like you care?

Are you aware that by sending the payment holiday emails that I now have written agreement from your bank, irrespective of my income, ALLOWING me to skip 3 payments? Should I just cancel my debit order and ask my bank to reverse the money you took or do you think it would be quicker to re-finance it with a bank that actually cares? Guess I'll have my answer in the next 24 hours.

Kind regards,

Dear Standard Bank,

I received an email from Joseph Witticker on 11 August @ 11:45, requesting information, and I rep**** with the requested detail @ 12:09 on the same day. Thereafter.....NOTHING. I forwarded the same details again to Joseph, Bernice and Boitumelo on 21 August and received a reply from Bernice on the 24th. She apologized that the matter hasn't been sorted out and stated that she had escalate the request again. She also informed me that the payment holiday will be loaded for August, September & October as a refund can't be done. Seeing is believing so I'll let you know on Tuesday if a payment was deducted or not.
