Empty promises and terrible service!
I bought a new car in the beginning of January 2019. When the contract was signed we clearly gave instructions for the first debit order to be loaded for 60 days payment. On Friday, 1 February 2019 the first debit order was deducted from my account. I contacted the dealership where I bought my car when we found out that there was a mistake on my contract. I had to re-sign my contact. After 2-weeks I'm still struggling to get my refund. Standard Bank sent me an email saying the query will be resolved by 15 February 2019. Today is the 17th and still, no refund!
On the 15th I phoned Standard Bank Motor Vehicle Asset Finance, and dealt with a very helpful consultant. He followed up on my query, to which the answer was that they are just waiting for the system to be updated and as soon as its updated, they will process the refund, but still couldn't advise when. This is after I've been patient for 2 weeks already.
I've been a loyal client of Standard Bank for more than 10 years and this is the service I get. I am very disappointed with the service. You build trust with clients by keeping your promises, which in this case is not at all what was done.
I expect my refund to be done as a matter of urgency, without having to follow up another 400 times.
In future, I'd much rather use another financing house for my vehicle, and not Standard Bank whom I've trusted for more than 10 years.
Regards, Bianca
