Early penalty withdrawal charge

I would like to lay a complaint against standard bank and warn people to play far from it. I opened a fixed savings account for rainy days and wasn't aware it was a 12 month savings account. My fault there fully take accountability for that, of the R1000 which I saved and thinking this was going to be a monthly thing it wasn't I was receiving R3.20 as interest accumulated each month which I thought it was ridiculous. I opted to get an early withdrawal to close it only to find out I am being charged 55% for that, I need that 55% back in my account as this is totally ridiculous to charge such a hefty interest to access my funds
