double standards

Today I tried to cash 2 by cheques made out in $ for surveys I am doing. It was rejected because I do not \earn"an income. When I tried to explain that all cash deposits on my record is \""income\"" because I am an independent contractor and get paid in cash. This adds up to more than R20 000 per month. Their comment was if the cheques bounce there should be money in my account to cover the costs. The cheques was for less than $90 which means it would have been about R900 - bankcharges which comes to a total of about R600. Currently I have about R35000 in my account. <br> <br> Standard bank should answer the next 2 questions because the supervisor could not.<br> <br> 1. I went back into the bank after leaving wanting to know from the supervisor if I did not \""earn\"" an income would they have given me an account and her reply was \""NO\"". Surprise surprise"
