Thank you for your responses so far, but I must stress that I am extremely unhappy with how this matter is being handled. The transaction was made on Sunday, and it is now Wednesday — yet there has been no resolution.
I was advised that transactions should reflect on the Merchant side within two working days. We are now on the third day, and nothing has been resolved. When I contacted the Merchant, they requested the merchant reference number to confirm if the funds are reflecting. This should have been proactively provided by your team.
Please remember, this issue exists because Standard Bank deducted duplicate funds due to your ***** alert process. If this had been handled correctly at the start, I wouldn’t be in this position. If your teams properly understood and followed their SOPs, I would not have been given the runaround and delayed unnecessarily.
I am asking very clearly:
- Get this issue sorted immediately, OR
- Call me directly with a resolution, OR
- Return my money without further delays.
Regards,

I kindly ask that your feedback be more specific — at this stage, I need to know exactly what the next steps are, who will be contacting me, and by when. Please confirm the timeframe so I know when I should be available, instead of waiting another day or two without clarity.
I look forward to your prompt and clear response.
Kind regards,

Kind regards,
I have had many customers care / private bankers call me email me etc and same old same but no one can assist me.
Outstanding card authorisation since Sunday on my Standard Bank account, Microsoft have done all they could and still nothing reflecting on their end.
Microsoft requested : reaching out to your bank to obtain the Merchant Reference Number (MRN), which will help us move forward.
My bank comes up with all this **** about this and that but as it standard they can only provide me the chargeback reference which they cant use.. it more damn irritating seems like standard bank is helpless and clueless
Please provide me with my MRN which i requested
Microsoft requested : As for this concern, since we’re unable to locate the transaction on our end without the MRN—once you have it, we’ll be able to trace it more accurately.
Microsoft Feedback : Once the authorization expires > Authorization typically expires within 7–10 business days, after which funds are either released or posted, enabling clearer tracking by both Microsoft and your bank.
Do you guys think I have damn time to wait so long for money you double deducted and blocked the transaction to go through .. please give me the MRN so that Microsoft can check
Microsoft Feedback : I highly suggest that you request the Merchant Reference Number (MRN) from your bank—it typically begins with the letter “Z.”
