DON'T TRY AND SETTLE YOUR ACCOUNT AT STANDARD BANK VEHICLE FINANCE - EISH!!!

I bought a new car during 2014 and got my finance via Standard Bank. A few months later an insurance policy got paid out and I decided to use this money to decrease the outstanding amount as well as decrease the outstanding term for repayment of the rest of my account. This payment was made on 22 October 2015 and I sent an email to the Vehicle Finance email address notifying of my request as above. Unfortunately I did not check my bank account to check that my debit order was still in place.

During June 2016 I anticipated that my outstanding amuont should be fully paid and I phoned Standard Bank to request my vehicle registration papers. To my surprise I was told that my monthly premiums were subtracted from the access amount in my account and I still owed them money! As can be anticipated I was furious and requested on 21 June 2015 that my account be rectified as originally requested as well as for them to reinstall my debit order for the outstanding amount. On 4 July 2016 I recieved confirmation that my account was rectified and that I should do a manual transfer for the first payment as it was too late for the debit order to be initiated for the 1st of July. I transferred the payment the same day.

On 4 August 2016 I escalated it again to Standard Bank as I checked my bank account and to my shock realized that the debit order again was not deducted from my bank account. I requested again that my debit order be reinstated as well as a settlement letter for the outstanding amount. At this stage I was already "gatvol"! On 8 August 2016 I recieved the settlement letter and settled the outstanding amount on the same date, sending a confirmation via my bank transfer to the Vehicle Finance email address as confirmation of the payment. I also sent an e-mail on 10 August (as a response to my previous enquiry) to the agent assisting at that stage that I paid the settlement amount.

Eish, and then on the late afternoon of 8 December 2016 I receive a call from the Vehicle Finance department telling me that my account is in arrears and they want confirmation that the debit order can be reinstalled!@#$ On 9 December 2015 I escalated the matter to Standard Bank and told them in no uncertain terms that I am not happy in the way they are treating their customers and that this matter now need to be resolved as per my original requests, otherwise I will report them to the Ombudsman, the FSB as well as hellopeter.com.

And sure as hell, another surprise! I received an e-mail from them yesterday (21 December 2016) that my rebate has been processed and I must contact them? So this morning I sent an escalation again to Vehicle Finance email address with copies of all my previous correspondence and proof of payments. I again requested that my account be closed as I paid the settlement amount and I again requested my vehicle registration papers:

Please explain why Standard Bank would like to refund me as I paid off the settlement amount? Will that mean that I still owe you money?

What on earth is not understood by Standard Bank or is everybody just doing as they seem fit? Please see all my previous correspondence in this regard as attached.

PLEASE PROVIDE ME WITH A PROPER EXPLANATION AS TO WHAT IS HAPPENING ON MY ACCOUNT AND CONFIRM THAT MY ACCOUNT IS NOW SETTLED IN FULL!!!!!!!

I ALSO REQUESTED THAT MY CAR REGISTRATION PAPERS BE PROVIDED TO ME???????

Now, could someone please sort this out as it seems that Standard Bank is not putting their clients first and are not complying with requests?
