Do not use Standard Bank Trust Services for your Estate!!!

I was made co-executor to my aunt's estate which is being managed by Standard Bank Trust Services. I believe she chose them as she entrusted all her financials with standard bank divisions since she was a senior executive at Liberty Life and presumably received good rates and good services from the various divisions at he company where she worked. Unfortunately this has not been the case after her passing. A year later and nothing has been achieved through standard bank despite my constant complaining and going to their offices to request assistance. Few examples 1.They do not provide feedback on anything 2. They refuse to have a co-executor 3. They don't inform you when the person dealing with you estate is fired or on leave (not even an out of office) 4. They do not pay for expenses linked to the estate 5. They will not pay you back for expenses you incur on behalf of the estate 6. They will charge the estate an arm and a leg (even if it is for an ex employee) 7. They do not keep any records - so prepare to repeat yourself and resend things 100 times 8. They will not help you sell or manage the assets

It is almost a year since my aunt passed away and to date I have just been chasing after the bank to assist us with everything and nothing gets done but yet they will want to charge commission on the assets. My aunt was even an employee and she trusted standard bank with all her things. It is now very sad to see that they are treating a late employees estate in this manner. I would never recommend their services to anyone!
