Do not use Standard Bank!

No matter what you do, please do not use Standardbank!

My account was locked, due to needing FICA documentation.... again.... (I've had my account since 2014/2015), which could only be done at a branch... but the branch they advised me to go to, as they are open until 6pm, was already closed by 5.... the system gave the incorrect information.

The next day, I managed to get the FICA sorted out, thanks to one very helpful consultant, but, alas, when I tried to pay for my groceries later the same day, my card was declined (as it had been blocked again), and I had to go and draw cash to pay the R5 630.00)

This resulted in my not being able to earn my UCount points for this transaction and there is nothing they can do.

So, now I'm sitting with additional bank charges for drawing that amount of cash, no UCount points and I had to risk walking through a mall with almost R6 000 cash on me!

Please do understand, I am not upset with the consultants who tried to assist me, as the issue is with STANDARD BANK THEMSELVES, the entire company cannot server their clients!
