Do not use a Student Achiever Account!

Standard bank is bullying me as a young professional. I have been using a Standard bank account since I was 10 years old. They are threatening to blacklist me if I do not settle an outstanding amount on a cheaque account in my name.

The last time I used a Std bank account was in 2018 as a student. This was a student achiever account. According to me this account has always been a savings account without an overdraft of anysort. It has never had a balance less than negative R10 ever since I've been using it.

Since receiving these threats I have been to many different branches to get a statement for why the account is outstanding no one can help me. I have references of phone calls made from a branch and the manager of the branch could not offer me any assistance. I have been trying to get the statement to prove I don't owe any money.

I am realizing that after using Std bank for so long they are not concerned about any of my queries. They will rather blacklist be as a ex-client or have me pay money i don't owe to protect my credit history.
