DO NOT TRUST STANDARD BANK HOSPITAL STAY COVER

Good day<br> inception date of \hospital cover"through Standard bank is 12-03-2008 (!!)<br> I have been paying every month for the last SEVEN years. I was in hospital in March and somehow missed a payment while I was in hospital. I was unaware that the debit order did not go off as it usually does. Nobody phoned me to arrange another date for the debit order or tried to contact me regarding the missed payment. WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE they cancelled the policy. I did not notice that the debit order did not go off the following months (debit order was cancelled by them) since I trusted all to be in order and I did not get any form of correspondence from them and was sick in hospital. I was in hospital for 70 days. Once home I tried to claim from the policy but was THEN told it was cancelled. I would not be so stupid as to NOT correct a policy debit order after paying for it for so many years"
