Distressed Client

I'm writing this to draw your attention to a disturbing ongoing problem that I am experiencing with Standard bank. I'm struggling to find a solution to my problem and I'm left with no option but to raise the matter to you.

I have a financed car with Standard bank that I was paying well until I got retrenched during the lockdown last year 2020. I then wrote an email to the bank stating my current financial situation and requesting for a payment break until another job comes through. The bank never responded to my email and I was surprised to see an email from the lawyers requesting me to pay the arrears in 6 months or else they take the car . I was to pay R41 867.11 for 6 months but i only managed to pay for 2 months with the help from friends and relatives as i wasn't working.

I then got a job and requested help from the bank to pay R15000 per month until I settle my account as it is what I can afford at the time considering my salary. I attached my contract . The bank isn't coming through for me as the lawyers are now requesting R36 678.16 per month which I cant afford claiming the instruction is coming from the bank.

I requested to pay R15000 with my instalment as before R11 411.03 and something small going towards my arrears but they still wont take it. I have already made a deposit of R15 000 as I promised this month and am still expected to pay more which I cant afford at the moment. Why cant the bank accept my offer which has my full instalment and an addition to that or arrears.
