Disregard for Debt Review Status
Standard Bank has again disregarded the Debt Review status of my account and have gone in and removed more funds from my account. They have accepted the debt review terms as set out by my debt counsellor but continue to ignore it. They(VAF) originally took out funds (R6800)from account in December 2014 resulting in me being exited from Debt Review by various service providers including Standard Bank for nonpayment. This has impacted on other products held with Standard Bank which are now demanding payment as they say I breached the Debt Review status for non payment. The non payment was a direct result of Standard Bank taking money out of my account. VAF has since reinstated the Debt Review Status but the other product administrators have not and handed me over to legal collections and now Standard bank has again gone into my account and removed funds. Where is the accountability for their actions? I have never defaulted on any payment since I went onto Debt review and now because of Standard Bank VAF the situation has escalated to legal action. What is the point of being on Debt Review if it doesnt work. Are there no laws to regulate such actions. Where can I go for help???
