Disgusted

I cancelled my credit card, which I never used, in March 2016. No debits have been going off my account for months. However I recently received a letter with the heading "final notice" and that I owe about R122 on the account. I called Card collections and was advised that that it is the insurance that have been making the debits. so I went to the Bedford gardens branch and I was assisted by a very nice consultant who tried her best to help me.. We called card divisions and they sent us to insurance who told me that I should have cancelled the ****** insurance 1st. I Do not understand this system. why was my account not debited directly? instead now I have to pay for insurance on a card that should have been cancelled along with the credit card at the time I cancelled.. I am very disgusted and disappointed with standard bank and I will close all my accounts and move elsewhere as clearly this is a typical bank which robs it's customers on a daily basis.. I have been your customer for years and I am very disappointed at the way in which you do business. I have had previous loans in the past which I have closed and the insurance was cancelled when the ****** loans were canceled.. What makes this credit card different?!!
