i was in the pavillion branch today and wanted to open a savings account, i presented a signed counselors letter as POA however the lady there who was the branch manager said that the letter had been "altered" to my shock i asked her to explain and she began to show me how different the 'R's" were and that the one of the R's was inconsistent with the others. this is ************** based on the colour of my skin and my social economic status since i provided an unconventional proof of address. i am shocked at this treatment and had to raise my voice to get attention as they would not help me and wanted to turn me away. at the end after i insisted they call your compliance office they aggreed to let me fill in the card application manually but told me they wouldn't process it until the compliance office has given a green light. I am not going to fill in other docs and go through the trouble of sitting in the cousilors office the whole day because of a discriminatory and condescending manager who looked at the colour of my skin and my economic status, she even had the audacity to ask me what i do for a living and had to shout out to the entire branch what my source of income is. this was embarrassing and i hope you can get this resolved timeously as i need an account before COB tomorrow. kindly forward me Sim Tshabalala or Ben Kruger's e-mail adddress, i think this matter needs their attention.
