I'm on treatment for a nerve condition (CIDP) which has left me disabled, I use a wheelchair and am on diapers. My account has now been passed on to StraussDaly, they did not even try to contact me to make some sort of payment arrangement, they just issued summons and want to proceed to court, once again I think this really unfair, I have no income, my wife and daughter are my caregivers as I cannot afford a nurse, I'm relying on contributions from family members to afford daily needs, the house is also on the market with EasySell. I'm in a very stressful situation that is beyond my control, can Standard Bank please show some compassion, if I could pay the debt I would, I'm not evading payment in any way. All business, personal accounts and the home loan is with Standard Bank, which means I'm being harassed on all my Standard Bank accounts that are in debt. Please also consider that KZN had to deal with COVID, Rioting and Floods. Dealing with harassment from attorneys on a daily basis is really stressful and is only making my condition worse. I've been with Standard Bank for many years, when my business was doing well which was for 10 years and all payments were up to date, Standard Bank was always wanting to assist, now that I'm in this financial position it seems Standard Bank doesn't care anymore.
