Disatisfied Prestige Account holder

I had placed a recall with Standard bank against a payment of R154900 that was made to an FNB account to purchase a vehicle. The account a registered dealership based in Newcastle kzn called Value Vehicles trading as SNL property developers. After payment was made, they have till date not contacted me or delivered my vehicle. I have two cases against them. One based at Newcastle and one based at westville police station. This has been an awful start to the new year.

During the process of the recall/reversal that I had placed on the 9/01/2017 with Standard Bank. I did receive an sms stating a request number ********** 333. And no one had contacted me ever since. I had called the contact center many times. And all they say is that the investigators are working on it and that I will get notified shortly. That never happened... till date...

.

As a busy man at work. My wife Mrs Bhola resoluted to place a message with facebook Standard Bank messenger. And went to the extent of notifying them of the case numbers against the FNB account inorder to notify Standard bank that we have been de*****ed. Instead she received a message back stating " Our team will request the relevent information as and when required..." We waited patiently for another week. And then on monday 23/01/2017, my wife contacted them back.. Only to get informed that the FNB account holder refuses to release our funds back to us? When she informed them again that it is a ***** case and cant the funds remain frozen till legal action is persude. Standard bank messenger just explains that we would have to report it to the FNB ***** team.

1. My point is that being a PRESTIGE banker. I have had little or no communication with Standard Bank returning my calls. And till date no none has emailed me or sms me confirmation that my recall was unsuccesful in the first place. And my wife only finds out through facebook messenger?

2. On top of that, my wife did initially inform Standard bank that this was ***** and was shut down with the statement " our team will request the revelvant information....when required'. Why wasnt she informed back then to initially contact FNB ***** team in the first place?

3. I made contact with the FNB ***** team on my own on Tuesday 24/01/2017, and their version of the story ( on email) is that they have placed a hold on the *****ulant account but it is too late as all the funds of my R154900 has been uitilized by the account holder. So obviously Standard Banks story of the FNB account holder not wanting to release funds does not match up to FNB ***** teams story... and if only Standard Bank had taken our ***** case seriously, maybe FNB would of been able to freeze the account in time before the funds were utilised.

4. Now yesterday the 26/01/2017, I receive another email from Standard Bank stateing that "they would like to confirm that my service request ********** 479 for EAP - incorrect account paid, is now open. Please allow until 01.02.2017, for investigation and resolution." So basically.... what incorrect account paid are they talking about when this is *****!!! They now expect me to wait till the 01/02/2017 and I know that they are investigation nothing... We back at Step 1... WHY? They have no clue how to treat a loyal Prestige account holder and to keep the client informed of the straight forward truth like the way FNB has.

I am now in the process of selling my home in order to financially get over my losses. And Standard Bank has not been of much assistance, I honestly feel that switching banks its the best alternatiive as other banks work faster, satisfy the client by keeping them informed everY step of the way. I have lost all trust with Standard Bank and have the evidence of the careless response on messenger received by Standard Bank.

I will make sure no family or friend goes without hearing the service I have had.
