Disaster

My ***** matter has been resolved. The bank says so and the amount was reversed on my credit card.

My credit card had to be stopped shortly after going through a toll road on 25 December. I was left without a card until 30 December. I understand there was much credit card ***** at toll roads over this busy period.

I do not have proof as to whether the bank is to blame for the ***** though it is no secret that much of this ***** occurs internally but I can be and am beyond angry at the team leader who spoke to me from the ***** department around 1.30 pm on the 25th December and undertook to ensure that a new card would be at the Port Edward branch after 12 noon on the 28th December. It was not. I spent 3 hours altogether in that bank on holiday and used all my minutes on my cell phone contract and had to use a cheque account with great difficulty as that account had money meant for debit orders between the 25th and 4 January. Further calls to the ***** department and eventually a new card arrived at Port Edward on the 30th. More linking of accounts, more new passwords etc etc. The inconvenience I suffered is beyond words and my 2 accounts are a mess. But my anger is at the promise made by a team leader.

I also had to buy petrol on my cheque account which means I have lost out on UCount points which are only rewarded on use of a credit card.

To crown it all I did not have the use of a computer last week and I obtained printouts in Johannesburg of my accounts and cannot believe that you can R31,50 to print a 2 page credit card statement and R20 for a 2 page Cheque Account statement!!! In additional to montly fees!!!

I would like to be compensated with UCount points for petrol - I have the slip available.

I do not have the name of the team leader but no doubt all calls are recorded and you can find the conversation.

Is this the end of my matter?
