Disappointing Experience with Standard Bank

I've been a loyal Standard Bank customer for over 10 years, never having any major issues until last year when I fell victim to online *****. Although they reimbursed me, it was for less than the amount ******. Unfortunately, the same thing happened again earlier this month.

Lack of Proactive Measures Despite my explicit requests to the Parow branch and Vangate Mall branch to remove all online transaction options, the issue recurred. When I reported the second incident, I was told to obtain an affidavit from the police station and email it to the bank. I did so, but it took them over a week to contact me, and even then, I've heard nothing about the status of my refund after 3 weeks.

Unresponsive Customer Service I've sent multiple emails with no response. The lack of communication and follow-up is frustrating. I'm tired of waiting and being passed around.

Considering Change Given this experience, I'm seriously considering switching banks. I'd advise others to think twice before banking with Standard Bank. Their handling of online ***** cases leaves much to be desired, and their customer service is unresponsive.

Final Verdict Standard Bank, it's time to step up your game! Until then, I'll be exploring other options.
