Disappointed home loan account holder (Not helpful at all)

we took out a home loan in 2013 and it was Joint bond, the other part has decided to stop paying his part , I went to the branch in Mall of Africa to explain the situation and I was told there in nothing they can do without the other party's 's consent. I continued paying my half and every month they call me about the amount in arrears, they have all the other party's contact details (all 3 numbers), I have asked to take the bond over completely and I still get told , the other party has no give consent , I think they plan is not to help in this matter as I have asked for restructuring and they still come back with the same answer, should I also stop paying and lose the house???
