Disappointed client

So my bank that I have been with for more than 10 years can not assist me just because I had unpaid transactions. What I needed was a little assistance to decrease my debt not to top up on the existing debts, this pandemic is so real to most of us. But maybe it's high time I looked for other banks I am sure they will be happy to have me as a client. I realised something about standard bank they ONLY assist you when everything is fine, it's like being offered an umbrella when there is no rain but as soon as the rain starts you are on your own. Yes I have credit card, personal loan and overdraft with you but now they serve no purpose, anyway thank you. I ended up taking loans which are ridiculously high on interest, I know it's none of your business but I am paying R5900 for a R60 000.00 loan just because you failed to assist me restructure my finances. Paying 10k for my cars and you can't even assist with a refinance. Yes people fall, make mistakes but it is painful to be also punished for trying to free up some cash so you can start breathing again. This is me saying good bye to standard bank. I have suffered great loss for being with you, unfortunately I can't wait for 6 months just for my unpaid transactions to clear from your records. I thought you wanted a win win situations for both you and your customers but I guess standard bank is only for the richies, you can not be assisted if you are encounter problems or financial difficulties.

By the way it's not like I am unemployed, I work for GOVERNMENT. So I just don't understand why you treat me this way. Last time I checked I am still a responsible consumer. Where is value for money here? Or is it because I am useful when everything is OK?

Its ok for Standard bank to benefit from you financially ( high interest rates, bank charges, credit life insurance etc)but they can't do anything for you when you are in need.

Disappointed that you can't even help someone who is still permanently employed, whose salary was not affected by this pandemic.

I guess you are only good with auto replies. Keep on treating your clients like this one day you will lose close to 30% to 50% of your customers. Shareholders only care about dividends NOT customers forgetting that they need us for fatter dividends and bonuses. One day I don't know when but one day all our people will wake up to see how unfairly they have been treated, yes we got freedom to do certain things but financially we are not free, hence we use your services. One day the big pie you have will be shared equally.

No call from you ONLY the auto reply. Thank you proofing me on this platform other people would be able to see how they will be treated should they wish to bank with you.

Good afternoon
Thank you very much for your response.
Financial institutions needs to adhere to rules and regulations that is gazetted by government to not over in debt consumers. The bank needs to adhere to the National Credit Act which was put in place to protect consumers and banks.
With this being said, the bank will not be able to assist with finance and increasing of the your loan accounts as you already have account which is in arrears as mentioned and if you have accounts which is in arrears this will automatically reflect on your credit bureau profiles. When applications are scored for credit, the credit bureaus is the first thing that gets look at and if there is account reflecting negatively on your profile, the application will automatically decline.
From the banks perspective, the bank will not be able to assist with any credit facilities up until you financial situation has changed and this is why the banks says that you can try to apply again in 6 months.
I am terribly sorry for the feedback provided but the banks needs to adhere government policies which is in place.
I trust this response is in order.

This is my conclusion, STANDARD BANK doesn't care about their customers, with that being said I am moving all my accounts to another. Shame on you that even when the world is faced with a pandemic you are slamming doors on our faces.
