Disappearing money
My uncle opemed an account with Standard bank back in 2015, and all was fine until he had 3 incidents, he is currently 64 years old, the first incident he went to a branch and withdrew R35000 and a few minutes late he was held a gunpoint and the guys that ****** him demanded R35000, they called the exact same amount, it is a suspicion that it’s someone that works with a bank employee, it’s the only way they could have known the exact amount he had….the second incident he lost R12000 from his account…it just **** disappeared into think air, the bank imsisted it was him that withdrew it, we eventually let that go…until recently he lost a further R50000 from his account…again the bank is not willing to account for that as well, this is absolutely unacceptable, I feel like he is being taken for a ride seeing that he is elderly, how can it be that money disappears from someones bank account?? I would like to believe that ATM’s have cameras, can we kindly have footage of when the transaction happened, we need to see who withdrew the money, as a bank you need to start taking such cases seriously, you just can’t tell the customer it was you that withdrew the money. Clearly there might be several rotten apples within Standard Bank that are helping themselves to customers money, money just doesn’t disappear, and it’s sad that we entrust our hard earned money to banks and it disappears and then they have the nerve to just say it’s you that withdrew the money, do you think as customers we are mad to kust go and withdraw momey then come back and say it’s missing? Can the bank look into this, this time we are not letting this go until my uncle gets his R50000 back. He is a pensioner for crying out loud, a pensioner..please fix this
