Delay in settling insurance claim

On the 7th December 2015 we had a storm in Mburg & my neighbour.s tree fell on her back wall pulling our wall over as well. On the 8th the consultant said an assessor will come out but the wall would probably only be repaired in January 2016...I said I can.t wait my wall faces one of the MAIN ROADS in Mburg & people can just walk onto my property & it puts our lives & our property at risk...I was told I could use my own builder. I emailed a quote & photos of the damage. On the 9th I phoned& was told by Dineo they received email& it takes 3 days to settle claim. On the 10th I phoned again&was told quote was not received..I emailed it to Andiswa who forwarded to supervisor. On the 11th I phoned & was told it was by supervisor& they would phone me during the day to say what the progress is. We need to buy materials before 15th as suppliers closing&we are going on leave the 18th! To date no money has been paid to us&our builder waiting anxiously. It is our responsibility to safe guard our property but Standard bank doesn't seem to be concerned that we going on leave with our property unguarded & open for anybody to come in. Who pays if my property is vandalised& my cars ******?
