Deceased Estates, Standard Bank, Unacceptable

My father passed away in April 2020. Initially I received email responses from Standard Bank when I informed them of the death. Subsequently I received repeated SMS and email messages in which the bank threatened to close the accounts if payment of the overdraft was not made. My father did not have an overdraft facility and all his accounts had positive balances. Eventually after losing my temper with them the emails and SMS's stopped.

Now I am in the situation that since the beginning of March I have emailed the deceased department repeatedly on two different email address and have received absolutely no response. I have now found out that the attorney dealing with the estate has exactly the same problem. He has informed us that he may have to make a formal complaint.

In addition to emails, I visited my fathers branch and they were unable to assist. They gave me the opportunity to phone the deceased department and I sat on the phone for about an hour with no response.

What does it take to get a response from this department. As far as I know all the necessary documents have been sent to Standard Bank at least two months ago but neither myself nor the attorney have had any communication.

This is unacceptable and frustrating.
