Deceased Estates - Ignoring customers and behind competitors
Deceased Estates complaint
I went into The Glen branch on Thursday 5th September to close a chq and access account. I’m aware that they sent the relevant documents to your office and requested that the accounts be closed. On the 11th September, I sent a follow-up email to *** and still no reply.
To date, I'm still waiting for feedback let alone an acknowledgement of my request. Aside from dealing with the challenging time of losing a loved one, Standard Bank Deceased Estates has to be the most *********** batch of individuals who instead of alleviating the stress, simply add to it by ignoring customers.
Both ABSA and FNB were far more efficient and friendly. Accounts were closed immediately. This... is by far the absolute worse service period.

Wow. There are no words. An absolutely atrocious response that is a perfect poster for pathetic customer service in both the complaints and deceased estates divisions.
