DEBT REVIEW EXIT DATE ON PROFILE INCORRECT AND NEGATIVELY AFFECTING CREDIT APPLICATIONS
I exited debt review in January 2013. All creditors were notified as well as credit bureaus who all updated my profile with them according except for Standard Bank. This issue was only picked up when we did an additional online loan application on 18 November 2021 which was declined because my profile indicated that I was still under debt review.
I was advised by a consultant telephonically on 19 November 2021 to get a letter from NCR confirming the date when I exited debt review and also advisingme that she would escalate the matter to the team handling these issues. This I did immediately and on 22 November 2021 sent this letter to the debt review department in order for them to update my profile and for me to be able to continue with the bond application (as advised by their sales department).
The problem i now have is that it shows on my profile that I only exited debt review on 22 November 2021, the date the escalation was resolved by them sending correspondence to my then debt counselor who no longer exists. This is incorrect as the correct date should be January 2013 and the more I try explaining it to their consultants everytime, the more i am told there is nothing they can do to change that and I must wait 3 to 6 months to apply for the additional bond application with them.
I have now given up and will be taking my bond elsewhere because this kind of service is beyond pathetic.
