Debit order has continued after vehicle is sold
I have had the most disgusting experience with Standard bank this week. It is no wonder they are losing so many customers and have dropped to last place in the most recent customer experience survey of all the banks.

During Feb 2015, I received a company vehicle with a new position in my company and proceeded to sell my vehicle. The loan was settled in full. I have no arrears on the account and a superb credit record but Standard Bank's debit order continued in the month of March.

The debit order which was not supposed to go off has put my account (at another bank) into excess by a couple thousand Rand! On 3 March, I spoke to a consultant in the call centre that informed me the debit order had already been loaded the previous month and that it would be reversed in 72 hours. After 72 hours, nothing had changed and I called again. The consultant then told me it took 10 working days?? He then told me they had said no such thing when I queried the different time scales.

In a further call in the second week of March, I was told to just be patient!! This is absolutely unacceptable and I expect the funds to be reversed immediately with a letter stating that the loan is fully paid up.
