Debit order - changing collection dates as we please.
Good Day ,
For some reason a debit order mandate I had for the 25th went of one particular account on 23 Dec 2022.
Unfortunately this has incurred a debit charge of 150 on my account as that account is only funded on the 25th..I believe you should return the costs for the incorrect debit order.
The mandate always has been , if a debit falls on a weekend , the first Monday the debit will apply.
I have seen this in the past , where standard Bank brings up debit orders sooner due to the holiday season. This however is incorrect and you cannot change a mandate to suit yourself... It does not work that way.
Kindly contact and rectify.
