****************

So we app**** for a payment holiday at the end of April iro our home loan. After receiving no response we followed up in May and was advised that it had been approved. Last week we received an email advising on our new installments in the light of the repo rate decrease in May and I noticed that our outstanding months remaining increased increased by months. After several attempts to get hold of home loans customer care we were this morning advised that because we asked for a payment holiday for 3 months..we are now liable for an additional 12months on our repayment. They further advised that there is an opt out option but then the months we didnt pay ie 2months currently is payable immediately. None of these terms were explained initially and we received no paperwork wrt terms and conditions for the payment holiday relief. How can it be that we now have an additional 12mnths added to our loan term when we asked for 3 month relief??? I think this is **************** and I am certainly going to expose this bank. If we had known the terms and conditions or if someone had mentioned it ..surely we would not have opted for this !!!!
