Customer is not a bad debtor but deceased.

My father-in-law passed away in December 2015.

I notified the local Standard Bank branch and they uploaded the relevant documentation. I also asked them to advise the card division accordingly which they said they did.

Now my mother-in-law is receiving numerous calls at all hours of the day from Standard Bank Card Division - Recovery asking to speak to the deceased. I have spoken to then and even called them back.

Everytime they apologies and say they will update there records accordingly..... freaking high hopes of them being competent enough to do that.

I've asked them for an e-mail address and they are only willing to provide me with a fax number..... how pathetic.... but I faxed all the documentation in any case.

Eventually I tracked down an e-mail address for the deceased department and I e-mailed them as well.

All to no avail, the retards are still harrassing my mother-in-law...... and we are now proceeding to block all the telephone numbers that they are calling from.

I've never experienced such pathetic service from a bank before.
