Credit hard search

I realized on my credit report that there was a hard search dome on my profile without my consent. I sent a complaint via email even a follow up about three weeks ago and no one cares to respond and tell me why did they do that search. Most of us know that it affects your profile negatively but they do it with a customer's consent. I am still waiting for them to get back to me.
