Credit Enquiry With Standard Bank Without My Knowledge

I have a credit enquiry from Standard Bank that appears on my credit check and yet I have never contacted Standard Bank to sign up on any products with them. It’s very concerning because how do such enquiries come up on one’s profile when they have not even contacted the bank in question, can someone please provide a response to me in dealing with this matter before it affects me.
